The name

Anthemis is the botanical name for chamomile, a flower whose scent betrays the delicacy of its appearance.

A scent with character, both aromatic and spicy, leathery and visceral and with properties similar to a real bubble of protection, a refuge, an armor against the outside world which sometimes cruelly lacks poetry and colors; it is the perfect ambassador for the brand that bears its name.

The illustrations

In the effort to combine multiple art forms in one bottle, each perfume label, in addition to bearing the name of the song it represents, is itself a work of art, an interpretation - visual this time - of the music in question. All the illustrations, as well as the logo, are created by Nathalie Pruneau, an independent artist designer since 1996, specializing in editorial and identity design.

A personal research in plastic art, drawing and painting, underpins his professional design activity.

Sensitive to the environment, landscapes and the richness of life, she offers an exploration of the intimate to the visible, from reality to dreams.

The body and nature are recurring subjects in his experiments.

A word from the founder

Smells have always guided and directed my life, they have always been my landmark.

The idea of making it my profession came to me very early on. Also passionate about history, art and music, the creation of a concept combining all of this at once came naturally. This is how Anthemis was born, following my studies in perfumery, driven by the desire to create a unique, authentic, slightly rebellious perfumery, in alignment with my values, but above all by the need to create art, which could perhaps resonate with certain people around the world.

The creative process is extremely instinctive, and therefore, of course, extremely subjective. There is a bit of my soul in each perfume; and besides, my role ends there. Because now it is you, who, by wearing them, will make them what they will be.

So I leave it to you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of the Anthemis community of rock'n'roll aesthetes.

With all my most beautiful perfumed thoughts,

Tess Wakely
